Solar window film price hike in 2026

Affected by the conflict in the Middle East, several key raw materials for window film, including petroleum and tungsten, are in short supply. Most of these materials rely on imports, and shipping disruptions have hampered normal supply.

Among them, Tungsten Trioxide (WO₃), the core raw material for ceramic heat insulation, has seen a sharp price surge, directly pushing up production costs of high-end ceramic film. PET base film and precious metal sputtering targets have also remained at high price levels. Ex-factory prices of premium films are under pressure, while profit margins for low-end dyed window film have shrunk drastically.
